Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Arrival Procedures

• The gates open in the morning at 7:20 AM. Supervision is not available until 7:20 AM. Students in grades 1-5 will enter the front doors of the building. TK and Kinder students will enter the kindergarten playground. Bus riders will enter in the morning through the MPR (cafeteria).
• Breakfast will be served for TK and K on the Kinder playground. Grades 1-2 will eat in the MPR (cafeteria). Grades 3-4-5 will eat outside on the patio.
• Parents dropping students off should not leave their cars. Pull up to the curb either at the kinder fence or the front doors. Parents do not need to use 2 separate drop-off areas. Siblings of kinder students can be dropped at the kinder gates. They will be directed to the cafeteria to get their breakfast via the kinder playground.
• Parents are not permitted to wait with their students on the school grounds.
• The first bell rings at 7:40 AM
• If a parent needs to visit the school office, the parent must park in a designated parking spot. Do not park on the red curb and leave your car during drop off or pick up.

 

Dismissal Procedures

• Dismissal is at 2:35 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Dismissal is at 12:10 PM on Wednesday.
• Teachers must know how your child is getting home.
• Students in Think Together or riding the bus will be escorted to their respective areas.
• Students being picked up will be escorted to their pickup areas.
• Older students may go to the pickup area of their younger siblings
• Kinder is picked up at the kindergarten gate
• 1^st and 5^th grade are picked up at the Wing 2 entrance. Do not crowd the doors.
• 2^nd and 3^rd grade are picked up at the main entrance. Do not crowd the doors.
• 4^th grade is picked up from the library patio. Do not crowd the gate.
• Parents should have a car tag displaying the grade and student name
• A teacher will be responsible for reporting each student’s name as the parent arrives.
• Parents should stay to the right side of the road and follow the flow of traffic. Do not exit your car in the drive through. Feel free to park in a designated spot if you want to walk up and pick up your child.
• Kinder, 1^st and 5^th grade parents can exit through the first exit. This is an exit only.
• Do Not park on the left as this is a drive though area.
• Students will not be released to parents in the office within 15 minutes of dismissal
